When clicking on the black arrow, I then get the curser that allows me to select. text, which I can then copy and paste or whatever. I thought then Ihad solved the problem, but when opening another PDF, I have. to go through the same process.

Right-click anywhere in the PDF document and choose Select Tool, you must be able to select the text again. Please ensure that you are trying to select the original text and not the images of text which cannot be selected.

Oct 20, 2020 · If that's the case one possible workaround is to re-create the file. Export all pages as images, then create a new PDF from those images and run Text Recognition on it. Hopefully that will solve it. You should also report this issue to the authors of the PDF file.
