Otherwise you'll need to find some other way of telling the script where each file begins (or ends), or perform the entire operation using a script, in order for it to be able to do that.

Open the Tools pane > Pages panel. In the Insert Pages area of the Pages panel, select More Insert Options > Insert Blank Page. Then choose After from the Location Menu and make sure the page you originally navigated to is selected in the Page area of the dialog box. Click OK. On the Common Tools toolbar, click the Next Page button.
Apr 29, 2009 · Alternatively, you can select the fly-out menu in the page thumbnail panel to insert a blank page, (View> Show/Hide> Navigation Panes> Page Thumbnails) you can drag and drop it in the page thumbnails panel to change the position. Note, opening a pdf in Apple Preview can damage a pdf and is not best practice. Upvote.
Mar 1, 2019 · 1-make a copy of your files and name them 1, 2. 2-splite file 2 into 2 files, name them 2 and 3. 2-split files 1, 2, and 3 into 1 page files- select to add label before in split menu. 3-Now the tedious part, adobe allows you to combine 400 files at a time.
