Jan 4, 2020 · Vanilla Minecraft does not have a "mods" folder. Most likely case is that you need to install Forge Mod Loader, which you can download here. If you do already have Forge and the folder is still missing, it may have been deleted by mistake. You should be able to create a new folder in the .minecraft directory, and call it "mods".

Feb 18, 2019 · Can you find your Minecraft folder at all? If you can't, exit all applications and press Command+Shift+G. A box will appear that says "Go to folder:". Type ~/Library/ and press Enter. Once you are in the Library folder, go to Application Support. Your Minecraft folder should appear there.

Dec 13, 2022 · I like playing Equivalent Exchange 2 mod, which was only updated for 1.2.5. It was also an external mod, meaning it was put in the "mods" folder. The new launcher works great, but I cannot find a way to manage the mods in the mods folder based on the profiles I want to play.

Apr 15, 2014 · Next run normal minecraft on the version your modding then make a world and exit minecraft. then click on the forge installer and install client next go into the minecraft launcher and change your virsion the the forge [should be at the bottom and run it then when it stats exit it lastly open your .minecraft folder look for mods and drag the mod into the folder i hope this helps you i had problems to when i started moding good luck
Aug 20, 2022 · The easiest way would be to just create another instance (a completely new .minecraft folder). Obviously, call it like ".minecraft_1.8" or something. You can change the startup directory for the Forge profile by clicking "Browse" in the launcher: Then, just put all your 1.8 mods into a mods folder in the .minecraft_1.8 folder
I've downloaded Minecraft Forge for Minecraft v1.11.2 and I can't find the mods folder! Where do I look? I've looked in my %appdata% and clicked on .Minecraft and no Mods folder!
