Feb 12, 2023 · Step 1 - Remove McAfee products from your computer using Windows. Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps. Search the list for McAfee. Next to each result, click the Elipsis (...) and click Uninstall. You can reboot as prompted or reboot after all of them are done. If you run into problems, reboot, then try again.
Mar 19, 2024 · My computer is already using Windows Defender, bur McAfee just. Won’t. Close. I can’t uninstall it through the app because the only thing I can open with it is McAfee Livesafe, which does nothing but tell me my subscription is expired and offer to renew it. I can’t uninstall it from settings or control panel.

Sep 29, 2023 · I have unistalled the McAfee app, and all of its additional software programs. I have blocked pop-ups from the McAfee website on both the Chrome and Explorer browsers. I have turned off all notifications on both browsers and my PC as well. I used McAfee's software removal tool and it is still popping up. Nothing I have done is working.
Oct 9, 2020 · Click your Start Button, then just type cmd. From the resulting list, right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'. Paste this into Command Prompt and press Enter: REG DELETE "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender" /v DisableAntiSpyware. Wait for that command to complete, then restart (not shut down) your PC.

Mar 28, 2023 · Sometimes McAfee utilities come pre-installed on PC's, if you are using Windows 11 Security you are fully protected and you do not need any more protection and you can safely uninstall that McAfee utility.
