Zeenat Aman is the daughter of late Amanullah Khan, who wrote the scripts of the movies, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ and ‘Pakeezah’. He died when Zeenat was a 13-year-little girl. Zeenat has adopted her father’s name as her surname (Aman).
Zeenat Aman was born as Zeenat Khan in Bombay on 19 November 1951, to a Muslim father, Amanullah Khan, and a Maharashtrian Hindu mother, Vardhini Scharwachter. Aman is the cousin of actor Raza Murad and the niece of actor Murad.
