The name "YIFY" is derived from the hebrew name of the website's New Zealand founder, Yiftach Swery.
Jun 16, 2020 · Unfortunately YTS only started to use 5.1 in 1080p recently, so older releases use stereo AAC at 128 kbps, which even then are better than the old YIFY rips. So I hope this information is somewhat useful and certain people understand that YTS is an actually acceptable choice for what they offer if people want to consume these rips.

YIFY became popular because they're small downloads which is good if you have low storage space, slow internet or limited internet. if that's good enough for you keep on doing what you like. here's a comparison from a random scene in a random movie with a typical YIFY compression 2k bitrate vs 9k bitrate: 9k vs YIFY.
Oct 28, 2021 · edit: as far as I know, .mx is the correct site as well. Yts.mx is the correct URL. I love how this site has such a large collection of films available (over 35,000) and that there's an API. I managed to download the .torrent files for the best quality version of each film and bulk download them all on my NAS Server.

The only way a virus can get to you is if the torrent itself has a virus in it (as would be the case for any torrent). YTS.mx, like with other yts clones, just give you mp4s which afaik don't/can't have viruses. 6. AngelGrade.

YTS is not bad but not better compared to other sources. since you have trouble downloading torrents, it's best for you to go with RARBG's x265 uploads which are much better in quality compared to YTS but comparatively less in size to the best quality encodes out there in 1337x. Hey, I'm new to torrenting and I've recently downloaded the original MW2 and MW3 from FitGirl Repacks (yeah, feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to play spec ops by myself). Anyway, when I click the game set up it says that the files are missing and the game can't download. I get a 404 message even though I downloaded everything.
Feb 10, 2024 · Ublock origin, and browsing the internet these days without an adblocker is stupid. there is a yts search addon for qbittorrent use that to search and download within it no need to search for the website at all. i know this isn't what you asked for but YTS has super low bitrate movies.
