These guidelines describe the formatting specifications that yield the highest quality for playing audio on YouTube and for matching your audio tracks to the audio tracks of user-uploaded videos. Note that an audio track would only be played back on YouTube if you have opted to include that track in YouTube's AudioSwap program.
You can use both RTMP and HLS ingestion protocols to send streams with 5.1 audio. For the system to automatically detect 5.1 surround sound input and produce 5.1 surround sound, you must create stream keys with the “Turn on manual resolution” setting unchecked in Live Control Room.

You can watch YouTube videos on your TV with 5.1 surround sound. Enjoy YouTube’s library of shows and movies as well as other YouTube content with your supported surround sound system. Turn on 5.1 surround sound. Once you select a video to play, a player control bar will show. Go to 5.1 surround sound to turn it on or off.
Historically, Brand Accounts could be used with a variety of Google services. Starting August 4, 2021, Brand Accounts can only be linked to YouTube channels and will be designated with “(limited to YouTube)." This update will not impact existing Brand Accounts, only accounts that are created after August 4, 2021.
Note: Audio files, like MP3, WAV or PCM files, can't be uploaded to create a YouTube video. You can use video editing software to convert your audio file to a video. Audio files can only be uploaded as extra languages for your video .
