May 2, 2022 · YIFY. YIFY Torrents or YTS was a peer-to-peer release group known for distributing large numbers of movies as free downloads through BitTorrent (see copyright infringement). YIFY releases were characterised through their small file size, which attracted many downloaders.
Dec 21, 2022 · Officially speaking? None of them. YTS/Yify shut down years ago iirc. Anything up now is just a clone exploiting the popularity/name. I've started using yts.mx though and enjoy it. The uploads are usual yts/yify quality, and they also have a web streaming feature if you don't want to torrent. IIRC yts.mx only provides torrent files, not magnet ...
Jul 23, 2021 · 5 years ago I downloaded bvs from yify and it the time I didn't really go anywhere else for movies, so I watched it once every year and during holidays, so I knew the movie inside out, recently came across a uncompressed version of it on other site, it was around 6 gb, gave it a shot and I couldn't believe, the difference in quality were astaunishing.
Feb 12, 2020 · Hey all, quick question - I noticed YIFY now has an option to download movies in 4K. Has anyone downloaded any of these that can speak to the quality? The filesize for one of the ones I'm downloading right now is 7.5GB, which seems really really small for a 4K file. How much of the 4K quality is lost when the filesize gets that small?
Ahaha my movies/series collection started as 90% YIFY due to no available space. 360/480 is fine for a phone, not sure about a tablet. I've seen animated series on my phone in 1080p and they looked extremely crisp But generally now I only download what I want to see and keep so it's always at least 1080p+
Jun 7, 2020 · YIFY deliberately puts 1080p or 720p as the header for the film. I mean most people start ejaculating at a 1080p rip that is 1.5 gb and 720p rip that is 700 mb without even looking at the quality of picture.
Apr 24, 2016 · I used to watch YIFY's torrents, when I still used TPB and had slower internet, and even then I realised the audio and video quality was bad, and that was also using a standard sized laptop screen. So if you think they're 'absolutely perfect' then you need to get your eyes checked because there's no way anybody with decent vision can miss all of the compression artifacts that constantly show up in YIFY encodes.
If you really want to know the difference there are a few things to look out for. Look at the filesize difference better yify releases vs the alternatives just so you can get a general ideal of how much smaller they are. For the movies themselves, take a closer look at the darker scenes, as well as any scenes that have a lot of motion.
Aug 29, 2020 · The actual YTS/YIFY was shut down by the MPAA in 2015. Their most recent domain, yts(dot)to, now will redirect you to the MPAA’s website. YTS was an actual good site, but it hasn’t actually existed since 2015. The YTS we now know today is nothing but a mere imposter.
Oct 28, 2021 · Yts.mx is the correct URL. I love how this site has such a large collection of films available (over 35,000) and that there's an API. I managed to download the .torrent files for the best quality version of each film and bulk download
