Nov 29, 2013 · The best reliability will be in the WD Black drives. 5 year warranties. The Red is 2nd best. As for the Green failing after only 2 years, that's a bit unusual and you might want to check if your warranty is still valid. The Blacks do cost a little more, but they are #1 in reliability.

Jun 6, 2016 · In case it is, then you can just contact the place you got the drive from or WD's Support and eventually RMA the drive. Keep in mind that if you go with this, you will get a replacement but you will not get your data back.
