Jul 4, 2024 · Clear the Financial institution, the Account Number, and Customer ID fields. Close the Account Details page and open it again. Follow the online services setup step. Quicken should go through the new account setup and ask you to choose the financial institution (Vanguard in this case) and then enter the Customer ID and password again.
March 2022. I continue to have the same problem - Vanguard 401K transactions will never download unless I deactivate the online service, log out of Quicken, log back in, re-build the online service - then the missing transactions show up. I'll try the DTSTART and "Financial Institution" reset approach.
Each pair is a dividend payment followed by sweep into the transaction account. Thus, the fund account shares are correct, but transaction account shares are too low. Three errors: missing downloads, accounts not appearing properly in OSU, reconciliation showing clean when Quicken does not match Vanguard. I ran a validation.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows. I just noticed that my monthly bond funds divs from Vanguard were NOT downloaded for 9/30. No errors - but - Reconcile Shares - showed the 4 missing transactions that should have been there. Tried doing QFX download from Vanguard website Activity - and then Quicken Import.... said "missing account".
I created a test file. When I added the Vanguard account to this file, the recent transactions (that I could not download to my real data file) were automatically added to the register. So this data was transferred from Vanguard to my Quicken register. Then, I restored my real Quicken data file.

No problem connecting to Vg and downloading transactions via the Update function but why are a few transactions in multiple accounts missing? To get all the transactions I'm forced to the Vanguard website and initiate a download from there to Q.
Download Vanguard transactions older than 18 months. Is it true that one can only download the past 18 months of transactions from Vanguard into Quicken and nothing older than that? Jan 1, 2022 · I had assumed that there were issues that Vanguard was trying to resolve, and so did not take action. Today, I disconnected all my Vanguard accounts and attempted to re-establish downloading. However, I see the message "This financial institution only supports Simple Tracking." I used to be able to download transactions.
