Mar 18, 2020 · When you receive the country flag equivalent of "US", it is interpreted as the United States flag. It means that it's up to each emoji implementation to interpret flag codes, which means that there is a potential PR nightmare to deal with in case a country isn't recognized internationaly.

It is quite poignant that Microsoft would allow the LGBT flag but leave out all other flags - particularly the USA flag when adding emojis to emails using the Windows + period, or semicolon, keyboard shortcuts. It is also my wish that the American flag be added!

Jun 20, 2023 · Hmmm, I bet the Russian flag would be offensive to Ukrainians. You obviously have biases that you think need to be reflected on the rest of the Emoji users out there. My advice, just leave your biases at the door and if there's no icon that you want to use in the list, then either find another or not use any at all.
Jul 4, 2023 · Since emojis picker is only accessible with the Windows 10 or 11 English language pack, for my suggestion, you may do Windows updates and reboot the system to check if the emoji for the American Flag will be displayed if pack installed correctly.
Aug 20, 2018 · And I see no way to flag for instance, an individual Excel or Word file (without changing the name) All I want is to be able to mark the folder and/or files much like you can in Outlook with either categories or follow up flags. Perhaps Microsoft will add that one day as an enhancement to the file explorer. thanks again.
