OK I just finished the first season which at first thought it might be a one I can binge and think it's alright. I hadn't heard of the series before I bought it so all I knew that it was a detective series. But BOY did the show do that and godamn more.

Jan 18, 2024 · Was going to rewatch it but all I can find is the new season. I click on Night Country and only see 4 in the “season” tab. I can’t scroll left to get to earlier seasons or scroll left from the episodes either. I even typed true detective season 1 in the search bar and only night country shows up with the same issues I previously stated.
Sep 16, 2022 · Season 3 is better tv, and the focus on the partnership in this season is more in line with what I expect from True Detective. Season 3 does have spoilers for Season 1, but in my opinion, it’s worth it and takes little or nothing from the impact of the story. Lastly, Season 1 brings it home. Excellent tv.

Jan 2, 2023 · No. But if you’re a fan of good television watch season one just because. It’s one of the greatest stand alone drama seasons of television ever produced. Please watch at least Season 1. It's so fantastic. no. wait on season 1. after season 1, anything but a comedy is terrible in comparison.
The relationship between Roland and Wayne was beautifully portrayed, NOTHING in the first 2 eps of night country even comes close to those scenes of old man Wayne and old man Roland reuniting. That was gold standard TV. The dialogue in seasons 1, 2 and 3 is far FAR more memorable and interesting than anything said in Night Country.
