Also, since you're worried about TF2 downloads, you can clear out the sprays that get downloaded to a cache through here: Team Fortress 2 >> tf >> materials >> temp.
Jun 7, 2019 · Hello, I have a dedicated server (that I just got), and I set the map to a custom map (ex. ctf_2fort_twisted). However, the download speed of the map is unacceptable (~200 kb/s for a 24 mb download). The problem is not my internet speed, all players have this problem. I believed it had to do with the web host of the map. The thing is, I've tried multiple web hosts (000webhost, dropbox, tf2maps), and all of them have slow speeds.
Apr 20, 2024 · For convenience, I also added that tf.exe to my Steam library as a non-Steam game, and added -steam to the Launch Options. Then prettied it up by renaming it to "Team Fortress 2 (32bit)", and added the official background/logo (from Steam\appcache\librarycache\) as custom images.

This release is the result of 444 commits, 84 closed issues, and nearly 2 months of work." Mind you, 2 months with pretty much daily commits and communication (through discord).
Mar 1, 2017 · I download 13 gig games in about an hour and a half so 1-2 hours certainly isn't a stretch. Depends on your internet. Some people will be slower, others will be faster.
