Sep 7, 2019 · TD Ameritrade in Canada is called TD Direct Invest. And it lacks many features and options to investor and trader. I choose them because I really like their platform Thinkirswim. But the Canadian version really lacks some important features such like Forex trading. And you have to deposit at least 5000 USD to start trading.

Cannot buy/sell non-TD ETFs. No options trading. No access to the research resources available on TDDI. +8.

Apr 28, 2021 · I was just responding to OP's post asking if anybody worked with a TD financial planner and if they are any good. My answer was yes. I have worked with various "planners" at different institutions and you don't really know the experience until you've given them your money.

May 1, 2020 · GTA West. My theory is that the "designation number" is a left-over element from a previous generation of cheque processing. On our TD account cheques they just repeat the first 4 digits of the transit number. Other banks don't seem to have such a number, so I don't think it is used outside of TD or for interbank settlements or transactions.
