It’s because Season 1 is character driven while 2&3, while still good, don’t focus AS much on character (outside of El) as much, which is why Season 4 is so damned good. It’s character driven but also mixes in the nice mystery elements that worked well in Seasons 2 and 3. Reply. forgedinbeerkegs.

Episode 1 begins with this supernatural kidnapping and we were not supposed to fully understand what happened. The Duffers wanted this scene to feel like Will had vanished into thin air. He remembers everything he’s been through since the day he was taken. He even says “It got me. The Demogorgon” in S1E8.
Yes, season one is such a good self contained enjoyable watch, it's like a long movie, it leaves things open just enough to tickle the imagination but not so much as to get the audience trapped in to watching another season. The vocal delivery was spot on and Max's expression SOLD it. my favorite eleven moment is shopping w max 🥺🥺🥺🥺. My sister was 15 in 1985 and LOVED Madonna. I swear I was seeing my sister in that scene. In season 1 when she wiped her nose and walked away after making that bully pee on himself.
