I am trying to figure out the best way to make smooth connection from a 40mm square pipe to a 51mm round pipe in fusion 360. I am new to cad and fusion 360, so far enjoying but need to learn more advance stuff, if anyone has some good steps, best practices or pointers for this particulate problem, much appreciated. Sep 12, 2017 · I then need a small square created on the side and copied around the cylinder x3. EASY!! So i offset a plan created the square and extruded into the side of the cylinder. the problem is the square is FLAT on the plan and extruses flat into the cylinder which makes the recess uneven. Apr 10, 2015 · 04-12-2015 03:53 AM. Hello, If you are looking for manual cut of SQ thread. I would use coil with sq shape. Set the option "height and pitch" and set values from thread definition. I would recommend you to start coil from parallel plane to face of cylinder in distance height of thread groove. This makes the end of coil realistic.

Looks more like what they call boots to go into a residential floor or ceiling diffuser. Maybe take a transition, or even an elbow, and manipulate it to look like that.
