Sep 8, 2017 · This mod has two versions. The Unofficial Patch focuses on bug fixes and minor QoL improvements. The Improvement Project tries to improve core game mechanics. If you've just bought the game and want to know which install option to use, download the latest release and use the Unofficial Patch option. It fixes a lot of fan complaints and doesn't mess with the game too much. You're still getting the vanilla experience, just with a fair bit of broken stuff fixed.

Apr 24, 2017 · Framerate cap. sys_maxfps = 75. It's recommended to cap game FPS, if you don't use Vsync. Uncapped makes the system components work harder and hotter because these games may push 300-1000 frames. Even for the best systems, this can cause stuttering. Your hardware just lasts longer if you at least cap frames to 75-100.
