Saddle peak, the highest point in the Andamans, is a good day hike where you can enjoy solitude in nature. It is 8.5 miles each way from the park entrance, with 3 stream crossings each way; so a 17-mile return trek, 5 miles of which is steep uphill. Don't believe those who say it is a 6-hour trip!
