The Ram Mandir (ISO: Rāma Maṁdira, lit. ' Rama Temple ') is a partially constructed Hindu temple complex in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India. [6] [7] Many Hindus believe that it is located at the site of Ram Janmabhoomi, the mythical birthplace of Rama, [c] a principal deity of Hinduism.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust began the first phase of construction of the Ram Temple in March 2020. On 25 March 2020, Ram's idol was moved to a temporary location in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The Central Government has notified “SHRI RAM JANMBHOOMI TEERTH KSHETRA” (PAN: AAZTS6197B) to be place of historic importance and a place of public worship of renown for the purposes of the said section from the year F.Y. 2020-2021, vide (CBDT Notification No. 24/2020/F. No. 176/8/2017/ITA-I).
