Dec 13, 2015 · I've tried the RAC - will definitely take them into consideration, as they've been pretty good when I've had to claim in the past. I'll give CHU a call too - I actually hadn't heard of them before so will check them out before I contact a broker.
Feb 16, 2024 · Hello, I am looking to rent out our granny flat which is attached to our main house. We currently have RAC building and contents insurance for both. However, they won't cover the granny flat if we rent it out. EBM said they could offer us contents insurance through their short-term rental policy but not building insurance for the granny flat.
Mar 20, 2018 · The advantage with CHU is the owners can arrange their own insurance with AAMI, RAC, etc. but the master policy still exists. Another insurer (SUU) has now introduced a survey strata product, this must encapsulate both the common property and all buildings under a single policy which all owners must agree to be under.
