Planta will not publish manuscripts in which the functional significance of changes or differences in gene expression is based on transcript data alone. It is essential to provide supporting evidence for any such interpretation, for example by providing measurement of changes or differences in the level of the corresponding proteins, relevant enzymatic activity data, or other biochemical evidence of translation changes that match those of differences in transcript level. ...
