Jul 13, 2019 · Satin is a coat type which occurs in many different breeds of guinea pig. The gene which is a recessive one causes the guard hairs (particular type of hair) on the piggies body to become translucent and light to shine through them. This causes a sheen type effect in the coat. Once you have met a satin coated, you will never mistake one again.

Jan 27, 2019 · Junior Guinea Pig. I would not recommed having guinea pigs and dogs in the same stroller together. If I were you I would put the piggies in and take turns swapping. Just before you put the piggies in make sure you remove the scent of the dogs before having them in the stroller. The smell of the dogs could alarm the piggies and make them scared.

I immediately took her off of her CareFresh and onto fleece because I thought it might be better for her airways.
