PCBL Mundra Unit, the greenfield project of PCBL commissioned in October 2009, at Gujarat, has a total production capacity of 2,04,750 MTPA of various ASTM carbon black grades. In July 2023, the first phase of specialty black expansion was commissioned with 20,000 MTPA capacity.
PCBL is the first carbon black company in the world to receive carbon credits from UNFCCC for its Captive Power Plant, at Baroda. The power generation process recovers and utilises the thermal energy of the waste gas that is produced during the manufacturing of carbon black.
