OWL was the one good thing about western…They should have looked into Canvas instead of D2L, only thing I’ve used comparable to OWL. Just give us a mobile app.

Mar 22, 2021 · Okay. I think I understand what is going on but not 100 percent sure without talking to the NOC Team at western. So it looks like OWL is hosting locally at western as opposed to at a service provider (Western does have a pretty good data center). But when trying to access it from Eduroam via web, the request is blocked (no responce).
I once had a prof call out that he could see who had opened certain readings files so idk. Yes. A bunch of students in my class a few years ago got caught cheating during a midterm because they all logged in to owl during the exam. Professors absolutely do have the power to see what each student has opened.
Jan 12, 2023 · Standardize the new OWL's usage for all courses in terms of the minimum each course should be populated with (perhaps categorize these minimums by course type, i.e. a writing class probably needs an 'assignments' tab while a biology course probably needs a 'labs' tab) students can expect, create templated versions of the pages professors can use, and operate on a singular channel of communication.

Oct 13, 2021 · OWL cannot track websites outside of OWL. It can, however, tell us when/what students were looking at during the quiz, but this is something we can see all the time. We just need to go into the site visits log and check for any visits to resources during the quiz/test. 32K subscribers in the uwo community.
