Mar 20, 2021 · So I downloaded the new EA desktop app when EA Play came to gamepass yesterday and I tried downloading NFS Heat. I was surprised to see the download speed was going from 400kb/s to 900kb/s. I checked on every other launcher like Epic Games, Steam and even on the xbox app/microsoft store and I was getting 6-10mb/s download speeds on those.
Run CCleaner. Restart your router/modem and do a Clean Boot. Make sure that your UAC is enabled and set to notify. Download the latest version of Origin and install the client - make sure to run the setup file with administrator rights. Add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports.
2 Start and login to your Origin client. 3 Right click the games you want to install and choose download. 4 Once the downloads are running on those games, pause the downloads. 5 Exit the Origin client. 6 Copy back the game folders to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games and overwrite existing files that were downloaded.

Haven't been able to download a game through the disk or origin. When trying to install with origin, it gets to the finalizing stage and freezes at 0h 0m 0s. Have tried a clean boot multiple times and delete the necessary files, as well as uninstalling origin, setting it to administrator etc. Nothing seems to be working.
I'm 2 hours into trying to download Sims 4 and I haven't even made it to the game yet. I'm about 10 minutes from requesting a refund and not coming back. I had no problem with Sims 1 & 2, SimCity, and a bunch of older games. Sims 3 I purchased and it disappears from origin and I can't play it anymore and now sims4 is impossible to even download.
