Sep 14, 2020 · Unfortunately, the online version of Word does not display all formatting properly. Switching to the reading view in Word Online should improve the situation, but the basic limitation remains: Word Online simply doesn't have the capabilities of the full, desktop version of Word that you can install on a PC or Mac. Jun 24, 2018 · The locally installed version of Word has File > Options, and there are plenty of other ways to customize Word, e.g., Style Sets and the Design ribbon. I don't think I'm the only one who has invested considerable thought and time into setting up Word to work the way I like it to work.
