Feb 18, 2014 · I need to export odt writer file that contains forms to pdf via command line, but without exporting the odt as pdf form (the same thing as you do in libreoffice when you choose export as PDF and don't select forms). I know I can do conversion via unoconv or libreoffice command line, but both export odt to pdf with forms, as far as I have tried.

19. You could take a look at PDF Utilities (poppler-utils via Synaptic or apt-get) which includes pdftotext: Poppler is a PDF rendering library based on Xpdf PDF viewer. Of course, success will depend on how the pdf file was generated. If you get what you want as a text file, you could then save that as an .odt file.

Mar 31, 2019 · Recently I've had a few documents that I've needed to convert from .odt to .pdf formats and naturally I use the "Export to PDF" option in the File menu. The exporting works just fine, creating a PDF document just like I'd expect, but then when I go back to the original document all of the content is garbled up like it was thrown into a shredder.
