I am sure that I've never had a TFN, so I do not understand how an ATO account can be linked. I have checked my past payslips, emails, and MyGov and there is no sign of having a TFN.

  4. Oct 29, 2022 · When in your myGov account you can change this by going to My Account > Sign in Settings. To link your account with us you need to use either the SMS code or myGov code generator app - not the secret question option. Once changed, you'll be able to go ahead and link your myGov account with us and manage your returns online.

Go to ATO online services - your online access strength is now set. Your online access strength only applies to ATO online services. It doesn't apply to your myGov account or other linked services.

  10. Hi Steven. This has now worked - unlinking the ATO service from myGov and relinking using my Digital Identity has given me access back into the ATO portal!
