Jan 9, 2024 · My MyGov says I am already linked to ATO, but I still can't log into the account without putting in my TFN. I applied for one a week ago and have not heard back. I am sure that I've never had a TFN, so I do not understand how an ATO account can be linked. I have checked my past payslips, emails, and MyGov and there is no sign of having a TFN.
Oct 29, 2022 · When in your myGov account you can change this by going to My Account > Sign in Settings. To link your account with us you need to use either the SMS code or myGov code generator app - not the secret question option. Once changed, you'll be able to go ahead and link your myGov account with us and manage your returns online.
Click on the ATO tile on the MyGov home page. Under 'My Profile' on the top left of the page, click on 'Financial institution details'. Either update, delete or add your bank details as appropriate.

Sep 16, 2024 · Sign in to myGov this opens in a new window with your myGovID - select Continue with Digital Identity to use myGovID as your sign in method. Go to ATO online services - your online access strength is now set. Your online access strength only applies to ATO online services. It doesn't apply to your myGov account or other linked services.
18 Aug 2024. Previously it wasn't possible to login to my.gov and access the ATO service without a mobile phone (I was using someone elses which wasn't great). Hi Steven. This has now worked - unlinking the ATO service from myGov and relinking using my Digital Identity has given me access back into the ATO portal!
