Mommy issue: a lot vaguer, could be referring to a number of different things. Usually implies the mother was overbearing and controlling.

Women talk about the issues they have from being raised by their mothers all the time. The behaviors we learn from being raised by unsafe and unavailable mothers (and fathers) are complex and deeply entrained. We don’t even really recognize many of them as toxic. Therapy is a great place to work on this.
Guys with mommy issues, either rely on their actual mom, like there dating her, telling her everything, or the mom is overbearing, or if the mom died or absent from his life , he will be searching for the parental motherly love he never had as a kid. So basically, you either have to talk to a therapist, or keep ur problems to yourself.

When a guy doesn't reply promptly to my text, I tend to lose interest quickly. However, with women, I'm more patient even if they leave me on 'delivered' for 20 minutes to 5 hours.
