On the options list, select the following: Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 ActiveX Data Access Graphics All other options should be unchecked. When you select 'Data Access', you need to click the Change Option button. You will then get another list of components with only 5 items.

Apr 22, 2021 · 'visual studio 6.0 setup was not completed successfully' or 'install Service pack 6'...which failed as it detected a newer version was loaded or 'instal MSDN' it finally worked. To get it loaded took two full days in the end. Thanks Peter
