I understand why you're not quite sure, and might even be hesitent to buy the full commercial license of Maya, the price-tag of which, for a single-seat at least, is a complete joke , but there's always Maya LT, which is 1/4 the price of full maya, and is more single-user friendly, and that CAN be used for commercial projects.
Jun 11, 2018 · This alert appears whenever Maya is saving or opening a scene file because you are on a student license. So if you have auto-saving enabled or are just hitting CTRL+S this will appear every time. The only way to disable this would be to purchase a standard license of Maya which would mean you are no longer using the student version.

May 15, 2020 · Hey everyone. I have acquired the student version of Maya that I acquired since I was at a university around 6 months ago. My question is, am I allowed to continue to use the student version until it expires even AFTER I graduate? Or must I stop using the license the day I graduate? (I believe my grades will be coming in soon).

Mar 20, 2018 · 03-27-2018 07:56 AM. Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community! Simply exporting as an fbx to Maya LT is totally fine! Once all the models have been exported you can just continue to work in Maya LT like normal for any commercial projects! Please let me know if this helps or if you need any more assistance!
