6 days ago · The username and password are for your system and not to login to Manager because Desktop is not multi-user. I guess this has been added to enable connections with outside systems, but it should not allow us to change OS system passwords, etc.

I guess the option could be added to Preferences tab so you can upload your logo which could be shown on Login screen. That would be excellent!
