Maharana Pratap was a Rajput king of Mewar who resisted Mughal expansion. He had 10 wives, including Ajabde Bai Punwar, and 22 children, including Amar Singh I and Bhagwan Das.
Maharana Pratap had 11 wives; among them his first and favorite wife was Maharani Ajabde Punwar. He had 17 sons and five daughters. He sustained injuries in a hunting accident and died on 29 January 1597, aged 57.
Ajabde was the first wife and chief consort of Maharana Pratap, the 54th ruler of Mewar. She was born in Bijolia, married Pratap at a young age, and had two sons with him. She was influential in Pratap's life and decisions, and died in 1591.
