Situated in a historic city on the beautiful Brayford Pool Waterfront, the University of Lincoln is proud of putting students at the heart of everything it does.
The University of Lincoln is a public research university in Lincoln, England, with origins dating back to 1861. [ 8 ] It gained university status in 1992 and its present name in 2001. The main campus is in the heart of the city of Lincoln alongside the Brayford Pool.
Our Campus. Our first building was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1996. Since then we have invested around £400 million in the campus and its facilities, creating modern learning and research spaces such as the Isaac Newton Building in 2017 and the Ross Lucas Medical Sciences Building in 2021. The University of Lincoln spans over three campuses, our Brayford Campus, Riseholme Park and our Holbeach Campus. Floor plans for each campus can be viewed on the respective campus page.
Most of the University’s students are based at the main Brayford Pool Campus in the picturesque waterfront area of Lincoln’s city centre. More than 100 different nationalities are represented among the academic community and the University of Lincoln is consistently rated among the top UK universities for student satisfaction.
