Mar 10, 2019 · Leonflix is a much smaller application both in scope and in resources put towards its development. That being said, you should absolutely check Leonflix out. It's still got some bugs and it doesn't have nearly as many features as Kodi but it's been coming along nicely and every update seems to add something really unique.
Mar 11, 2019 · Leonflix is back! After a 10 month hiatus, we're out with a new update. Take a look at r/leonflix for more info on the update. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Leonflix is a desktop app (available on Mac, Windows, and Linux) for finding and streaming media. The new update contains updated scrapers as well as peer to peer watch parties.

Mar 10, 2018 · Leonflix is built on Electron, which runs on Chromium and NodeJS. This means 3rd party developers can write addon modules for Leonflix the same way they would write a Node module. We’re starting off with metadata, scraper, and extractor modules for now, but eventually Leonflix will be mod-able to the core.

At this point I would be excited if the source was just released so someone else could take over the job or create a fork.
Sep 23, 2019 · This should make the app more usable when TMDb goes down. The app will now cache media metadata locally so that they can be scraped when TMDb is unavailable. This update contains multiple fixes for bugs created in 0.4.4-0.4.6. We changed a lot of stuff under the hood so users experienced some bugs with bookmarks. Turns out there were 4-5 different issues affecting bookmarks, which is why some users noticed the 0.4.6 update fixed things while others didn't see any changes. Changelog:
