Apr 7, 2020 · Director Jake Kasdan has confirmed Jumanji 4 is in early development. The Jumanji movies kicked off in 1995 with Joe Johnston's original film, which reimagined Chris Van Allsburg's illustrated 1981 children's book as a family-friendly adventure starring Robin Williams.
Jumanji 4 is reportedly on the way with fans questioning whether the franchise's all-star cast will return and when it will released. Part sequel and part spin-off, Sony Pictures released Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in 2017 as a video game spin on the original 1995 film.
But what of "Jumanji 4?" The next sequel was undoubtedly set up, though it seems like we're no closer to actually seeing The Rock's Dr. Smolder Bravestone back in action. The good news is, Sony is very keen to get another installment made.
