As you say, GS does just have a 300 word cover letter and CV though. JPM has 3 comps that basically cover what i would put in a cover letter. I just did comps and CV for JPM; i would just have a substandard cover letter if i made it different to the comps. Reply 12. 12 years ago.

4. I had a bad experience there. The second person who interviewed me didn't seem to believe I knew anything about IBD and IB in general, asked me some very very technical questions and spent about 5 mins explaining what IBD is. I found the whole experience rather insulting, and know others who felt the same.
All I really know is that GS ripped off other banks during the crisis and JPMorgan is like the white knight. And I know the figures; that JPMorgan seems to have more income, is much larger due to Chase, but that profit doesn't mean much compared to what GS made ripping off others. Please feel free to add or enlighten me on any of these points ...
Everyone is guaranteed a first round interview for the next year's summer internship.
