Oct 9, 2023 · Cant really recommend JLCPCB to anyone. Ordered ~10 different pcbs in different orders. In 2 pcbs there was manual rework done by JLCPCB. Yes- I was on the manufacturing limits but well inside their capabilities. What really f****s me up is their way of dealing with the issue.
Mar 7, 2021 · I have made PCBs in a panel that was assembled by JLCPCB, I have used standard 1mm copper/3mm mask fidutials from KiCad libraries and 1,152mm tooling holes as specified by JLCPCB. They assembled them no problem. Screenshot from 2021-03-07 22-04-00.png (208.95 kB, 1343x668 - viewed 1489 times.) Logged. --.
Nov 18, 2019 · Some time ago I compiled design rules and layer stackups for JLCPCB in order to reuse them and keep them under version control for my future projects. Since the design rules available at JLCPCB contain clear mistakes (e.g hole to trace clearance, other clearances) and don't cover 2-layer boards, I'd like to post my effort here so that they may ...
Jan 3, 2021 · I'm trying to prepare a board to prototype with JLCPCB for the first time and I'm a bit puzzled by their pricing scheme. I've attached an example with a Microchip ADC. If I read this correctly, if I only want 3 - 5 boards with one part per board, there's a flat fee of $9.327, so the 1+ price of $0.6406, or even 10+ price of $0.6218, is not true ...
Nov 19, 2023 · Yes, ordering on JLCPCB is sometimes frustrating. As a workaround you can try include the SMD assembly option, without actually ordering it. It will take you through a 3D view of the board which will give you additional insight on how JLCPCB interpreted your files. Logged.
Jun 11, 2024 · JLCPCB + Shipping. « on: June 11, 2024, 06:45:40 pm ». I recently ordered some PCBs from JLCPCB and chose FedEx for shipping. The shipping cost was not very high (about 16$), but after receiving the order they sent me an invoice for customs services for about 48€. The shipment was to Spain.
Oct 25, 2018 · The QFN is a 0.5mm pad-to-pad part. I used a standard (!) footprint with 0.25mm pads, so the pad-to-pad gap is 0.25mm. The solder mask width was 0.1mm, with a 0.075 mask-to-pad gap. I expect that narrowing the pads to give a 0.3mm pad-to-pad gap would be OK, but maybe there is a better solution. I've sent a query to JLC, I'll post any reply.
Oct 21, 2020 · Re: JLCPCB multiple boards on one board VS separate boards. PcbWay lets you explicitly combine the orders and only pay once for shipping. JLCPCB it also allows you to combine delivery. The first 5 boards will have a cost of $2, the remaining $5 (with an area of no more than 10 dm sq).
Sep 30, 2021 · Re: ALLPCB & JLCPCB. JLCPCB has issues with PCB solderability. Both ENIG and HASL. Lead-free solder paste often does not cover corners of SMD pads after reflow. Lead-free solder wire, especially with no sliver and weaker flux simply does not like to rapidly flow over the pads.
Nov 23, 2019 · JLCPCB provides two groups of parts: Basic and Extended. Basic parts are most common parts that are ready for assembly without any extra costs. At this moment, my library contains only selection of Basic Parts, like SMD resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors and SOT23 transistors. My goal is to add more parts later.
