As per Jest official website, you can do the following to generate coverage reports: 1- For npm: You must put --before passing the --coverage argument of Jest. npm test -- --coverage
So tests in other files would still run. So to run a single test, there are two approaches: Option 1: If your test name is unique, you can enter t while in watch mode and enter the name of the test you'd like to run. Option 2: Hit p while in watch mode to enter a regex for the filename you'd like to run.

Jan 30, 2019 · Try using console.debug() instead. Run console.debug('Message here', yourValueHere) inside test function and it should show in the console output when running test script. You can verify if it works using Ctrl+F and find Message here in the standard output.

May 2, 2018 · Since you already have jest as a scripts command in your package.json you can also run it with npm test -- --updateSnapshot. npm automatically adds ./node_modules/.bin to your path. update: Newer versions of yarn will resolve node module bin scripts, so you can also just run yarn jest {cmd} and it should work.

As answers above have described, Jest doesn't support ES6 modules. So, we need transform the code to a supported module type. We could use babel-jest or ts-jest.
