Aug 7, 2023 · Anyone here who has previously joined or knows about DevTown's Full Stack Web development training + internship program? I am a MCA last semester student, but graduated in commerce. Currently I have no work experience.
Turns out DevTown promised the guy internship of 1 month at company of his choice. He followed their training of 3 months on Full Stack (5K INR) and then they just made him fill out a Google Form selecting the company he wants the internship at.

Nov 7, 2023 · Nope it's completely a scam. You won't get any internship just a certificate which is also useless. If you try to leave this program midway they'll threaten you by saying things like your profile will be blocked from all companies associated with them and that you won't receive any job/internship opportunities in the future.

They'll tell you that they don't restrict their employees but soon you'll see they lock the gate with chain and lock so employees can't get out. None. To be honest.

My friend saw this internship in Devtown where they promise to give internships with many MNCs. They told him he can quit at any time and asked 600. He paid 600, now they are asking extra 3500 and if he doesn't pay his name will be blacklisted in all the companies and he won't get jobs in the future.
