  1. Jan 10, 2013 · It has lower- and uppercase letters, numbers and is 4 characters long. So, 26 + 26 + 10 = 62 possible characters. Being 4 characters long, we can calculate the size of the "pool" of possible passwords with that character set to 62 ^ 4 = 14,776,336. So, just like having to guess among 10,000 possible PINs for a 4-number PIN, we have to guess ...

  2. Jun 1, 2012 · 3 easy steps: 1 - pick an easy to remember word that's the length you need (usually passwords have to be at least 8) 2 - move your hands up one key space (instead of asdfjkl; you're covering qweruiop) 3 - type your word. Example: horse=y94w3. Another good thing to add is holding down shift for half the word. Example: joust=U)*w5.

  3. First, it’s safer than password reuse by many orders of magnitude. Second, if you understand encryption and two-factor passwords you know how safe this is compared to anything else. Third, this is their business. If they weren’t good at it, they would be broke.

  4. Dec 27, 2022 · Password length > complexity. Length absolute minimum at 8 characters long, ideally 12 characters or higher, max limit at 64 characters (for manual typing passwords occasionally and in rare cases saving server processing). Great but not necessary to have symbols, numbers, lowercase and uppercase as long as all other rules are followed for ...

  5. Nov 20, 2021 · Use a strong pass phrase on your password manager with an authenticator app for 2-Factor Authentication. The idea of injecting numbers, or even duplicating (or tripling or transposing) the “Nth” characters of one or more words will make an “easy to remember” phrase much harder for an algorithm to crack.

  6. Jan 27, 2022 · This would mean 4 random words from Bitwarden's generator would be about $2 million to crack one person's master password. 5 random words from Bitwarden's generator would be about $12 billion. If you use Bitwarden's passphrase generator with the random number inserted randomly at the end of one of the words, a 3-word would cost about $6,000, a ...

So 20 characters would give you 122.58 bits of entropy - a very secure password. If you use avoid ambiguous characters you get 6.022 bits per character which doesn't change things much (120.44 vs. 122.58).

  10. Mar 3, 2022 · Yeah, same thing for me. Here I am 4 months later with the same problem. I actually have my password, but I can't login through a web browser on my PC with Chrome or Edge. I CAN login through my phone app by looking up my password in Chrome and typing it in to the app on the phone. I don't know why Tracfone doesn't fix this problem.
