I recently upgraded it with a firmware available, which according to hickvision's realease notes "Conventional SD DVR deletes Hiddns and IP Server function, newly supported Hik-Connect."

Many VMS programs require you manually add the RTSP stream from the camera, in which case you'll need to know Hikvision's RTSP format.

Oct 27, 2016 · The specs of the PC are 8GB ram, i7 processor, H110 motherboard, 2GB Graphics card. When viewing the live view and recordings through my PC it continuously "hangs" as well as being very difficult to access specific dates and times of the recordings. The software version is iVMS-4200 (v2.5.1.7)
