Hertz is a scam! Hertz owes me $743.63. I rented a car for two weeks because I didn't know how long my dad was going to live. I pick up the car on March 28th and return it on April 6th. Not only was I charged an additional $318.64 for insurance I didn't want or need as American Express offers car rental insurance.

Most of the cars are 2-3 years old with higher than normal (for Hertz) mileage. Getting a reservation was easy, until it was time to pick up my rental.
Aug 27, 2020 · Id say make sure you get all the maintenance receipts...In 2005 I bought a car 2004 Echo from a body shop that used to be an Enterprise rent-a-car. The car had been in the ditch, the body shop bought the car to fix it cosmetically and sell it. Car had 19,000 KM (12K miles), looked brand new and still had 3 years warranty.

Hertz ran out of vehicles and was only taking reservations by the time we landed. Well, luckily we had a reservation and paid for some of it online before we flew down.

Feb 28, 2022 · Every airport that I have been to has a main Hertz counter and then a Hertz Gold counter in the parking garage area. If you are a Hertz Gold member, you can go directly to that counter. However, if you provide Hertz your flight information, they will more than likely have your name on an electronic board in the parking garage after you land.
Jul 26, 2022 · You need to drive 20 hours a week to pay for rental and the car is for you to use for other times. I just saw an ad and looked into it. It’s about $240-290/week depending on the car (I saw some for 315/week and one that was 40/hourly). They also said you can get $40 back if you take an Uber to pick up your rental!
