Your UPI ID is an address that identifies you on UPI (typically yourname@bankname). Create a new UPI ID on Google Pay. Select the bank account for which you want to create a new UPI ID. If you find “1/3 UPI IDs added” or “2/3 UPI IDs added,” tap the Down arrow . You can create up to 4 UPI IDs on Google Pay for each bank account you add.
This is an extension of the Google Pay through phone number option that you find on your UPI app. This will allow anyone to send money from any UPI app. Tip: By May 2022, you can't receive payments through your phone number unless you set your phone number as a UPI Number.
