Foxtel also said I need to upgrade my router to a Wifi 6 newer one. Ridiculous comment by Foxtel. I'm Ethernet into IQ5 box and have no issues when AussieBB goes down. Looks like Foxtel need to patch dodgy wifi chipset. If you can run Ethernet over power or straight Ethernet, removes so many potential issues, especially if using IPTV.
I've installed the older version 1.6.3 and this doesn't require multi-screen and lets you register 5 devices.
I previously had foxtel via satellite (cancelled a couple of years ago). I now need to have the satellite dish removed due to some home renovations. I contacted foxtel and they said they don't remove them, would need to arrange that myself (nor do they need the equipment back).
Nov 18, 2018 · Foxtel-MX6505NF-0210180850304813 – e8:82:5b:ff:cf:e1 SAMSUNG_MOBILE (SAMSUNG_ELECTRONICS, 2013) – a4:6c:f1:f0:fa:92. The Foxtel device shows occasionally, but the samsung device seems to hang around longer/more often. I have a bluetooth adaptor, when removed made no difference.

The Foxtel Now box is dated now, no longer receiving updates, and is limited in what other apps can be installed. I have installed Foxtel on Sony TV and bingo. So, it does looks though 'Foxtel Now' is no longer needed as obsolete. The Foxtel Now box is out of stock everywhere but at David Jones:
As for the Foxtel Dish, well if your not going to use the Dish anymore why don't you just got buy an Aerial from bunnings as well for $25-$50 depending on what you want, then remove the Dish itself (Not the pole it is fixed too) and fix the new antenna to it.
a) use the Foxtel box for FTA (subscription channels will obviously not work but he said FTA would). b) install a second cable to connect to the antenna. I have yet to try option A because the Foxtel box has been pulled out of the entertainment unit and packed for return. Its also SD, so the picture quality is pretty crappy.
Simplistically, there seem to be 4 Foxtel offers: 1. Foxtel traditional – iQ4/5 although now focused on IP delivery rather than satellite. Expect the satellite delivery to be turned off before the end of the decade. 2. Foxtel Now – provide your own device or use the Foxtel Now box and get Foxtel channels 3.
Have you asked Foxtel to provide free multiroom until it is fixed, so you can at least stream your shows to your TV via the Foxtel Go app? If you are lucky enough to have a pretty new Sony, Samsung or LG TV, it should have the new "Foxtel" app available – removing the Go app/phone/tablet from the equation.
