Mar 18, 2020 · When you receive the country flag equivalent of "US", it is interpreted as the United States flag. It means that it's up to each emoji implementation to interpret flag codes, which means that there is a potential PR nightmare to deal with in case a country isn't recognized internationaly. Should microsoft decide to recognize the Israelian flag ?

They aren’t actually available on the emoji keyboard, I’m not exactly sure why but they aren’t; The only suggestion I can give is to submit your feedback using the feedback hub app, which you can locate in the start menu. Kind Regards, Elise

On the Windows 10 onscreen keyboard, the flag emoji are completely missing. Not sure how everyone at QA overlooked this. Hm. Can someone at Microsoft please add them? Thanks! This is on the latest Creators Update, so no need to reply "try updating" and such 😗
Jun 10, 2022 · Since a week I'm noticing that country flag emojis are not displayed anymore in Word 2021, yet it just shows the Uni-code. All the other emojis are working/being displayed fine. Everything is up-to-date and it all worked fine before. Also, older saved documents where I used some flag emojis are not showing anymore.
Sep 16, 2021 · . . . which I added the emoji to an e-mail that I was sending myself from my mobile, to view from my PC so that I could then copy/paste the emoji to my Xbox profile - however when I copy/paste the emoji, which does display as the Scottish flag in my e-mail on GMAIL, but when I paste it anywhere else, what is displayed is the Black flag again!
