My seller account was hacked and someone listed a bunch of stamps for sale. They put on the page to order from their website for a discount instead of Etsy. I wasn’t aware of this until a sale was made on Etsy. I’m very suspicious of the actual sale as well and I haven’t done anything on my end to refund because something seems fishy.

I am not promoting a conspiracy theory; this could simply be corporate bungling. If you have been using a small local bank for your Etsy account, you have to sever that relationship to continue with Etsy.

Nov 10, 2022 · The bank account you attach and verify on Etsy must be in the exact same name you opened the Etsy account with. If your Etsy account is in, say, Tracey Smith, you cannot use a bank account in the name Tracey Ann Smith, or Tracey and David Smith. Banking fraud and money laundering laws require exact verification.
