I use File Manager+. It is a straightforward app and does the job neatly. I use RS File explorer. It has the storage analyzer, supports network drives ( cloud, LAN, FTP), supports access to android data and obb folders, has root access, plus it looks like Es file explorer so you'll get used to it fast.

Fooview's file explorer is available by itself and it's basically es file explorer 2. FX file explorer, been using it for years. Vote for Solid Explorer.
Jan 11, 2020 · I currently have a Fire 7 tablet. Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement for ES file Explorer? They've recently made a lot of functions subscription only. Really the only need I have for a file manager is to be able to traverse through folders and read filenames in Chinese.

It's better to get used to a different, more recent client on android. es file explorer should be avoided. has had numerous vulnerabilities, injected ads and unwanted notifications, and is owned by baidu. loads of better alternatives.
May 29, 2020 · Previously used ES File Explorer on all my devices, without really thinking about why I used it. It was an old recommendation years ago and it just stuck with me on every phone tablet and Android TV. Now it turns out they are permanently DELETED from the Android TV Google Play store since mid-2019, because ES had embedded spying code that clicks on hidden ads to earn money without user consent!

Apr 4, 2022 · ES File Explorer will not create new files or directories on my microSD card (Auth Failed) or let me copy files there. My other file explorers do it fine but I really want ES because it has multiple tabs. I am seriously unimpressed with the other explorers. There is no way for me to add any more permissions in Setting->Apps->ES File Explorer.
