Jul 3, 2024 · Epson V600 works with Microsoft scan for documents but can't scan slides or negatives. Epson scan or epson scan2 doesn't work, neither does Vuescan. Epson service centre suggested it was an old defective scanner not worth repairing so now I have two V600 which don't work. This seems to be a windows issue. Surely someone can sort this out!
Mar 5, 2017 · I have an HP Envy, Windows 10. I got a new Epson v550 Scanner and have been having trouble with the initial driver installation. I uninstalled all the new epson package software that was loaded and deleted anything else that had epson in it or v550. I also went into the twain folder and removed the folder that it had put in there.

I'd seen the Epson Stylus Photo 500 in there, but I was presented with an option for 2 different drivers. I choose the higher version number and it worked! I am now able to see/use the printer and scanner, and the Scanner shows up in "Fax and Scan" and I can use it in the Windows Scan app (download for free on the Windows store).
Dec 3, 2021 · Let us work together to sort this out. Here's the steps you can try. -Go to Device Manager. -Expand the Printer. -Look for Photo Scanner driver that was installed. -Right click and Uninstall. Once uninstalled go to this link and download and install the updated driver for Windows 11.

The old Epson software doesn't work, though it functioned perfectly with Windows 10. Epson doesn't have a driver that works with Windows 11, and I can't get Windows generic software to recognize the scanner.
