Dec 20, 2022 · Decent Work Country Programme for India 2023 - 2027 launched. The ILO along with its constituents launched its new DWCP, the fourth since 2007, to pave the way for the next five years, as the country builds forward better after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Decent Work Country Programmes (DWCPs) are the ILO’s programming instrument at the country level. They provide a framework that identifies the priorities of ILO constituents in a country and specifies the planned support of the Office to the achievement of results under those priorities.

DWCPs are a framework for ILO cooperation with member States negotiated at national level with constituents. Policy advice and technical cooperation will be provided in areas in which the ILO has a comparative advantage in contributing to national development strategies.
DWCP can build the institutional capacity of social partners DWCPs represent a tool to identify major labour market issues in the country; to map the capacity-building needs of employers’ organizations; and to derive benefit from ILO assistance.
